A fun summer cruiser that won't break the bank!

What are YOU driving this summer?  For about the same money, you can have a midlevel Toyota Camry or this black Camaro convertible...did we mention summer is nearly here?

Outside, the car is bright and shiny in black with nice Cragar wheels.  The glass, chrome and trim are intact and in good condition.  The cowl hood and Z/28 spoiler toughen the look considerably, and the spinners on the Cragars are the perfect finishing touch.  A nearly new convertible top is completely free of tears, rips or stains, and the power hydraulics run it up and down quickly and evenly.  The lacquer paint job is approximately 20 years old and it's starting to show its age with cracking on the top surfaces.  Outdoors and in pictures they virtually disappear, but under scrutiny or harsh florescent indoor lamps there's no hiding it.  Look at the photo with the "350" emblem in it to see what we mean.  That said, most of us in the shop would rock it as is.  We were amazed at how sharp the car looked on a nice spring day, and how much fun it would be to own and just drive the wheels off of it.  If you're looking for a trailer queen we can sell you one of those, but if your idea of fun is putting the top down and cruising then this is what you're looking for.

The interior was redone as necessary over the years and is a mix of new reproduction parts like the seat covers, dash pad and carpet, and good originals like the console, gauge cluster and the like.  Again, it's not so perfect that you can't fill the seats with friends or grandkids to the ice cream store.

Under the hood is a 1968 350 that, by the numbers, originally came in another Camaro.  A twist of the key is enough to fire it up to a smooth idle, and there's some extra power thanks to the aluminum intake and four barrel carb as well as the full length headers and dual exhaust with Flowmasters.  Steering and stopping are easy thanks to power assist on both.  This is a car that just about anyone can get into and drive without 10 minutes' worth of instruction about tough brakes, manual chokes or big cams...it just runs and drives like you'd expect.

The chassis is in good condition, and bushings, wear parts and the like have been serviced as needed.  The Turbo 350 transmission shifts well, and the 10 bolt out back makes no strange noises.  Previous owners were concerned with driveability and it shows-you can take this car anywhere.

If you're looking for a really nice entry level muscle convertible then give us a call.  It's got the right look, it's in cool colors, it sounds great and it just works like it should.  Car show season is arriving QUICKLY, and this car won't last long!
