1951 Cadillac Series 51

To say you own a Cadillac means something. To say you own the last of the Series models makes it even more meaningful. Imagine the possibilities with this one!

Runs and drives great

All there and complete

Great starting point for a restoration or hot rod project

Sure, back in the day, the '51 61 Series may not have gotten the prime valet spot at the country club, but times have changed. Don't take it from us though, go to your local cruise night and you'll see that cars like this one always have a crowd around them! The 1951 model year was the last year that the 61 Series was produced. Selling only 4,700 copies for the 1951 model year and having a base price of about $3,400, the luxury compact car with a 122 inch wheelbase that was marketed toward the middle class was discontinued.

If you are familiar with The Motor Car Group, you probably know that our usual affairs are mostly with the likes of Ferraris, Porsches, and 1960s and 1970s muscle cars. You also probably know that we are no stranger to dealing with rare and unique cars. We all know how hard it is to find a 1951 of anything, let alone a Cadillac, and this particular example is solid and has its original engine. This is a cool opportunity for the car enthusiast looking for a restoration project, the basis for a killer custom or just a neat driver.

This car runs and drives great.  The motor fires right up, the transmission shifts as it should, the brakes were just serviced and there's a new battery up front. It steers straight and idles down the road.  It even sounds the part with a nice burble at idle.

To really enjoy this car you'll need to have a plan, but you're ahead of the game with the completeness of this car.  If you'd like us to look the car over, we'd be glad to do whatever you'd like, but this car is being sold as is, where is.  We want it to find a good home but like a lot of older cars it's going to need TLC and we want you to understand that!

If you look at the pictures and are appalled, this isn't the car for you.  If you can see beyond the needs to a restored car, a hip cruiser or a restomod, give it another look.  If, like us, you see its warts and flaws as positive points.  This is a cool car.  People spend lots of money to fake patina...this car is the real deal.  This '50s cruising machine has great restoration potential, and its greatest appeal might just lie in its present condition.

At the Motor Car Group, we're enthusiasts first. We want you to enjoy your new car from the minute it's delivered and the trailer door drops. Before a car leaves our shop, it's gone through comprehensively, both visually and mechanically. We do more than just kick the tires, though: We fill your tires with nitrogen, road test (if the weather permits us here in Cleveland!) and clean it inside and out. We buff the paint using a three-step process immediately before it's taken away so that it gleams when it arrives. Every car we sell, from Sunday drivers through the rarest exotics, is meant to be driven-get out there!

If you have any questions before, during or after the sale, do not hesitate to contact us. It's what we're here for! Call us at (440) 914-0000, write us at sales@motorcargroup.com or stop by and see the new shop at 6441 Davis Industrial Parkway, Solon OH 44139. We're 26 miles from Cleveland Hopkins Airport and we can pick you up when you come to inspect or purchase your car. We welcome any prospective buyers, their buyer's agents or inspectors from Monday through Friday during business hours, as well as evenings and weekends by appointment. We're car people who love what we do, and you'll feel it from the first time you contact us. Give the R&H crew the opportunity to serve you: Our passion and attention to detail set us apart!
