This is one of the coolest '32 roadsters you'll ever see.  Not only was it one of only 100 cars built for the 75th anniversary, it was one of the first ten signed by Edsel Ford II himself!

2007 marked the 75th Anniversary of the “Deuce,” America's quintessential hot rod. To commemorate this very special occasion, Detroit Street Rods, LLC offered the officially licensed, Limited Edition 1932 Ford 75th Anniversary Deuce.

The official Ford Deuce will be limited to 100 production vehicles and will be distributed through Ford Racing Performance and Ford Motor Company Dealers.

Each Anniversary car is based on the highly acclaimed and award-winning Dearborn Deuce convertible that combines the beauty of Ford's original design with contemporary technology in the form of a fully-integrated, completely concealed convertible top with electric side windows. This precisely detailed, all steel body is mated to a sophisticated, rigid chassis, a Ford 9” solid rear axle with four-link suspension, and a traditional dropped I-beam front suspension.

At the heart of the driveline is a Roush built “Boss 302” with an AOD (automatic transmission with overdrive) for a vehicle that's clearly a standout in performance, looks, and exclusivity.

From Detroit Street Rods Press Release:

Detroit Street Rods, LLC (DSR), a management company formed by ABS Partners, LLC and Dearborn Deuce, LLC, announced today that the company was awarding the paint and assembly of Ford's 75th Anniversary Deuce roadsters to Saleen Incorporated's Troy, Michigan production facility. Saleen recently painted and assembled the classic Ford GT sports car at this facility.

Last fall, Ford announced plans to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the 1932 Ford, noted for the advanced styling by Edsel Ford, Henry's son, and the performance of the first mass-produced V8 engine, the Ford “flathead.” Although in production for only a single model year, the Deuce has become an American icon as the quintessential hot rod. In addition to numerous celebrations and events planned for the coming year, Ford officially licensed DSR to produce 100 Deuce roadsters to commemorate the anniversary.

The Ford 75th Anniversary Deuce is based on the highly acclaimed and award-winning Dearborn Deuce TM roadster that combines the beauty of Ford's original highboy design with contemporary technology.

The first Anniversary Deuce was actually built for Edsel Ford II, Edsel's grandson, and gifted to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation to sell at January's Barrett-Jackson Classic Car Auction in Scottsdale, Ariz., where the roadster brought $330,000 for the charity. Fred Blum, DSR's Vice President of Sales and Marketing, expects Anniversary Deuces to roll down the Saleen assembly line by April 1 and that's “no April Fools joke.”

The remaining 99 Ford 75th Anniversary Deuces, including ten Edsel Ford II-signature models, are currently being sold through Ford Racing Performance and select Ford dealers starting at $165,000.

At the Motor Car Group, we're enthusiasts first. We want you to enjoy your new car from the minute it's delivered and the trailer door drops. Before a car leaves our shop, it's gone through comprehensively, both visually and mechanically. We do more than just kick the tires, though: We fill your tires with nitrogen, road test (if the weather permits us here in Cleveland!) and clean it inside and out. We buff the paint using a three-step process immediately before it's taken away so that it gleams when it arrives. Every car we sell, from Sunday drivers through the rarest exotics, is meant to be driven-get out there!

If you have any questions before, during or after the sale, do not hesitate to contact us. It's what we're here for! Call us at (440) 914-0000, write us atsales@motorcargroup.com or stop by and see the new shop at 6441 Davis Industrial Parkway, Solon OH 44139. We're 26 miles from Cleveland Hopkins Airport and we can pick you up when you come to inspect or purchase your car. We welcome any prospective buyers, their buyer's agents or inspectors from Monday through Friday during business hours, as well as evenings and weekends by appointment. We're car people who love what we do, and you'll feel it from the first time you contact us. Give the R&H crew the opportunity to serve you: Our passion and attention to detail set us apart!
